Tyllus integrations

How Tyllus connects with your carriers, spreadsheets, partners and team

Tyllus connects the parts of an import that usually live in separate places. It tracks containers automatically on 11 ocean carriers, imports your shipment and tracking spreadsheets in any column layout, reads 8 US and 7 Mexico import documents, brings suppliers, forwarders and customs brokers in through secure email links, and lets your team sign in with Google or email.

Which carriers does Tyllus connect to?

Tyllus tracks containers automatically on 11 ocean carriers: MSC, ONE (Ocean Network Express), Evergreen Marine, HMM, Yang Ming, ZIM, PIL (Pacific International Lines), SM Line, TURKON, Arkas and Global Feeder. Enter the container number with the master bill of lading number or the carrier name, and Tyllus recognises the carrier from the bill of lading prefix or a common name or abbreviation.

For any other shipping line, the Tyllus team checks the ETA for you and fills in the port of loading, port of discharge and departure date (ETD). Every shipment gets an ETA, whatever the line.

  • ETAs are re-checked every day automatically and on demand with the Refresh button.
  • Each container shows the carrier's event list, container type, latest movement, current location, ETD and the ETA in the destination port's local time.
  • When an ETA changes, the customs request, the document checks and the forwarder invoice request move with it.

Can I bring my spreadsheets into Tyllus?

Yes. Upload your shipment list or your container tracking list from Excel in any column layout, and Tyllus matches the columns for you. For shipment imports, the PO number is the only required column.

Before shipments are created, a review grid lets you edit rows, assign partners and request documents. Tracking-only containers archive themselves 2 days after ETA.

  • Shipment import: use your own file or the Tyllus template.
  • Tracking import: watch containers without creating full shipments.
  • Exports: shipments, tracking lists, orders and reports to Excel or CSV.
  • Document archive: all of a shipment's documents in one ZIP file.

How do suppliers, forwarders and brokers connect?

Partners connect by email, with no account and no software to install. Each request carries a secure link tied to one shipment and one request, where the partner confirms dates, uploads documents or reports a status.

Tyllus sends about 45 kinds of workflow emails, from partner requests and reminders to document requests and cancellation notices, including Mexico-specific versions. If a partner stays silent, your team is warned.

  • Suppliers: cargo-ready date, stuffing confirmation and shipping documents.
  • Freight forwarders: booking confirmation, master bill of lading and container numbers, arrival or a delay with its reason, and the forwarder invoice.
  • Customs brokers: ISF filing and customs clearance status.
  • Anyone else: a document request can go to any email address, inside or outside your partner list.

How do documents get into Tyllus?

Documents arrive three ways: your team uploads them, partners upload them through a secure link, or Tyllus requests them automatically before ETA and after arrival. Tyllus then reads each document and fills in its data.

Read values are double-checked. Values that agree are marked Accepted, and anything uncertain is marked Needs review with the alternatives side by side for a person to choose.

  • United States (8): proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, house bill of lading, ISF (10+2), CBP Form 7501 entry summary, freight forwarder invoice and customs broker invoice.
  • Mexico (7): the same documents, with the pedimento in place of the ISF and the 7501.
  • A re-uploaded identical file is recognised as a duplicate.

Which sign-in options are available?

Your team signs in with Google or with an email address and password, and password resets use a time-limited link. Admins invite colleagues by email.

Partners do not sign in at all: they work through the secure link in each request.

What if we need a direct connection to our ERP or accounting system?

Tell the Tyllus team which system you use and what should move between it and Tyllus, and we will scope it with you.

Today, spreadsheet imports bring shipments and tracking containers in, and Excel or CSV exports take shipments, tracking lists, orders and reports out to the systems you already use.

Ocean imports into the US and Mexico

Tyllus tracks ocean containers for imports into the United States and definitive imports into Mexico. Air, truck, rail and parcel shipments are outside its scope.
