Preliminary antidumping review results: glycine from Japan
On September 14, 2026, the US Department of Commerce released preliminary results of its 2024-2025 administrative review of antidumping duties on glycine imports from Japan, finding weighted-average dumping margins for two producers and rescinding review for four others. Importers are invited to comment on these findings.
What changed
The US Commerce Department preliminarily determined that Japanese exporters Yuki Gosei Kogyo Co., Ltd./Nagase & Co., Ltd. had a dumping margin of 3.25%, while Resonac Corporation had a 0.00% margin for glycine exported to the US during June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.
The review for Ajinomoto Co., Inc., Ajinomoto Healthcare, Inc., Sojitz Corporation, and Sojitz Logistics Corporation was rescinded following timely withdrawal requests.
Interested parties may submit comments, case briefs, and hearing requests within specified deadlines, with final results expected within 120 days of this notice’s publication. Cash deposit requirements for antidumping duties will be updated accordingly once final results are issued.
Key Actions for US Importers of Glycine from Japan
- Review preliminary dumping margins assigned to your suppliers (3.25% for Yuki Gosei/Nagase, 0% for Resonac).
- Consider submitting comments or case briefs within 21 days to influence final determination.
- Monitor Commerce’s final results and updated cash deposit rates to ensure compliance with antidumping duty requirements.
- For relevant entries in the review period, file the antidumping-duty reimbursement certificate before liquidation; the notice warns that omission may lead to double duty assessment.
