USITC backs keeping mattress duties on seven origins

USITC completed the injury side of the mattress sunset reviews. It found that removing China’s countervailing-duty order and the antidumping orders on Cambodia, Malaysia, Serbia, Thailand, Türkiye and Vietnam would likely cause U.S. industry injury to continue or recur.

What changed

The determinations were completed on 22 October and published on 27 October 2026. This is a final injury finding in the five-year reviews, supporting retention of the covered orders. The notice sets no new duty rate, cash-deposit rate or collection date and is not Commerce’s continuation notice.

China is covered here by the countervailing-duty review; the six other origins are covered by the antidumping reviews.

Three checks for import teams

  • Match the mattress product scope and manufacturing origin to the exact existing order, rather than the seller’s location.
  • Keep using the applicable entry and deposit instructions; do not treat a five-year review date as an automatic expiry.
  • Keep notice 2026-21824 with the case file and check Commerce’s subsequent continuation and CBP instructions.

This notice does not cover a Chinese mattress antidumping order or announce a new common rate for seven countries. Product coverage and deposits still require the relevant order and company-specific instructions.
