U.S. keeps AD/CVD orders on Mexican welded wire mesh
Commerce’s 26 October notice continues AD and CVD orders on covered standard steel welded wire mesh from Mexico, effective 23 September 2026. Existing deposit rates continue to apply at entry; the sunset review did not remove the duties.
What changed
The written scope covers specified uncoated steel reinforcement mesh in rolls or sheets, including permitted size and wire-gauge variations. Qualified zinc-galvanized mesh and epoxy-coated mesh are excluded. An absent ASTM certificate does not itself remove a product from scope. This continuation sets no replacement supplier rates.
Three checks for import teams
- Match origin, coating, grid style, dimensions and wire-gauge tolerances to the written scope.
- Verify any galvanized or epoxy-coated exclusion using the actual coating specification, not just the invoice label.
- Retain the continuation notice with the applicable exporter/producer AD and CVD deposit instructions.
