Mexico: Authorized port infrastructure tariffs published

Mexico’s Secretaría de Marina published an aviso (15 Sep 2026) announcing that authorized tariffs for the use of port infrastructure were approved for various Mexican ports. The notice states the tariffs were authorized and gives links to the tariff files; the tariffs take effect 20 business days after publication.

What changed

The Dirección General de Puertos of the Secretaría de Marina issued an aviso that "fueron autorizadas las tarifas para el cobro por el uso de infraestructura portuaria" following requests submitted to the Ventanilla de Gestión.

The aviso lists specific electronic links for the approved tariff documents for ports administered by Administración Portuaria Integral de Baja California Sur, and states "las tarifas ... entrarán en vigor a partir de los veinte días hábiles siguientes a su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Federación."

The public notice itself enters into force on the publication date. The PDF links named in the notice must be consulted to see the concrete tariff tables and their scopes by port/terminal.

Immediate actions for import operations

  • Open the linked PDF(s) (www.dof.gob.mx/2026/SEMAR/4277_2026.pdf and 4278_2026.pdf) to retrieve specific tariff lines for the ports you use.
  • Calendar: count twenty (20) business days from 2026-09-15 to mark the tariff effective date for billing and contracts.
  • Notify terminals, shipping lines and accounting to expect new port infrastructure charges for the listed Baja California Sur ports.

This notice does not itself list tariff rates; it announces authorization and links to PDFs. It does not change customs duties or regulatory authorizations beyond the published tariff documents.
