U.S. puts Tainai in 92.84% China-wide rate for tapered bearings
Commerce issued final results of its antidumping duty review of tapered roller bearings and parts from China for June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025. The only company reviewed, Shanghai Tainai Bearing Co., Ltd., did not qualify for a separate rate and is treated as part of the China-wide entity, whose rate is 92.84%. The cash deposit instructions apply to entries from September 21, 2026.
What changed
No party commented on the preliminary results published May 15, 2026, so Commerce adopted them unchanged and calculated no new rates.
CBP is to assess any suspended entries associated with Tainai at the China-wide rate of 92.84%; Commerce intends to send assessment instructions no earlier than 35 days after publication.
For cash deposits, exporters that already hold separate rates keep their existing rates, Chinese exporters without a separate rate pay the 92.84% China-wide rate, and non-Chinese exporters without their own rate take the rate of the Chinese exporter that supplied them.
What an import team should check
- Search invoices and entry data for Shanghai Tainai Bearing Co., Ltd. as exporter; its suspended entries are to be assessed at the 92.84% China-wide rate.
- Confirm with your broker that each Chinese bearing exporter you use holds a separate rate; without one, the 92.84% China-wide cash deposit rate applies.
- For bearings shipped by a non-Chinese exporter without its own rate, identify the Chinese exporter that supplied it, because that exporter's rate sets the deposit.
