Mexico confirms $57.19 duty on Chinese children's bicycles
Mexico's final REV_37-24 review, published September 8, 2026, confirms a definitive antidumping duty of 57.19 USD per piece on Chinese-origin children's bicycles with 10–20-inch wheels. The amount was already set in a preliminary decision in October 2025; the final resolution takes effect September 9. The country of shipment does not change the origin test.
What changed
Mexico's 2015 order set 13.12 USD per bicycle, and the October 2025 preliminary review changed that amount to 57.19 USD. The September 2026 final review closes the case and confirms 57.19 USD per piece as the definitive duty.
Points 168–169 cover all types of children's bicycles with 10–20-inch wheels originating in China, whether shipped directly or through another country. TIGIE 8712.00.05 (NICO 02) is named, but the resolution also covers the product if entered under another tariff line.
Point 170 requires conversion from dollars to pesos for payment. Under point 172, an importer need not pay this duty if it proves non-Chinese origin under the cited non-preferential origin rules. The final resolution becomes effective September 9, 2026.
Immediate import operations checklist
- Identify 10–20-inch children's bicycles by product and origin, including shipments entered under a tariff line other than 8712.00.05; retain qualifying non-Chinese origin proof.
- Reconcile the 57.19 USD per-piece amount specified in the preliminary decision with the definitive resolution effective September 9; do not add the same duty twice.
- Confirm the peso conversion and entry-level treatment with your customs broker and the Mexican authority instructions before filing.
