Mexico opens India silicomanganese review; 40.25% duty stays

Mexico opened a sunset review of the anti-dumping duty on Indian ferrosilicomanganese in its 8 October decision, effective 9 October 2026. The existing 40.25% duty remains in force during the review; the old five-year anniversary does not end collection automatically.

What changed

The case covers Indian-origin imports regardless of dispatch country, including tariff item 7202.30.01 and Rule Eight item 9802.00.13. The review period is 1 July 2025–30 June 2026.

Interested parties have 28 business days from the day after publication to establish standing and respond; this is a participation deadline, not a new import-entry deadline.

Three checks for import teams

  • Match Indian origin, product scope and any Rule Eight classification before costing.
  • Keep the existing 40.25% duty in the applicable entry calculation during review.
  • If participating, verify the 28-business-day submission timetable and monitor the final decision.

The notice starts a review and preserves the current duty. It neither sets a new rate nor decides the final extension or revocation.
